Hours of Operations
The MGM is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The MGM is a resort location, though the actual appearance and function depends on who is using it at the time. Once a person arrives, they have two options.
North Hall: This side of the building is full of many doors, not unlike a standard hotel. Each person (or group) will be given a key to a specific door on one of the many floors. Once they reach the door and open it, they will be transported to a realm that looks and functions exactly like their home world. They will be able to travel as far as their limits would be in their home world, and they will have full use of their powers within this realm.
It is important to note that, while the realm looks and functions exactly like the character's home world, it is all an illusion cast by Baldr. All persons within the realm will function like NPCs from a video game: real enough to see and talk to, but their dialogue will be shallow and they will follow set patterns. Only the persons who travel to the realm through the door will function like normal people, and they are the only ones who will be able to leave. Additionally, no items can be taken out of this realm; they will simply disappear if they pass through the threshold of the original door.
If several people go together to this realm, the contents of the realm will be decided by whoever purchases the key to the door.
The cost for this service is 1 chip per 4 hours. Up to 12 hours can be purchased at a time. If the persons who visited the realm do not exit by the end of their allotted time, they will be transported to the front lobby at the end of their time. If any person is killed within a realm, they will be transported to the lobby immediately with all of their life-threatening injuries magically treated, and they will lose their remaining time.
South Hall: Instead of several floors of rooms, the south hall is one large room, as large as the external boundaries of that hall of the MGM. It is several stories tall, and about a hundred feet across and several thousand feet long, though the exact dimensions can vary at times.
Within this large room is a mish-mash of every possible element from every canon imaginable. It is as if bits and pieces of every world have been combined into one large area, making a patchwork quilt of a reality. The exact contents can be made up on a player's whim, as long as they can be contained within this large room and do not cause instantaneous death. The air will be breathable, and the fauna will not attack unless provoked by a character.
Almost all power restrictions are lifted within this room. The only power restrictions that remain are ones on powers that would allow characters to escape Vegas entirely. Additionally, the outside walls are indestructible, but anything within the room can sustain damage. Any damage done to the room itself or any components of the room will be slowly repaired, taking ten minutes at most to return to its normal state.
As with the North Hall, nothing can be taken out of this room that was not originally brought in with the characters. Unlike the North Room, there are no NPCs to be found anywhere, save for one at the exit who will provide assistance if asked.
The cost for this service is 1 chip per 6 hours. Up to 12 hours can be purchased at a time. If the persons who visited the room do not exit by the end of their allotted time, they will be transported to the front lobby at the end of their time. If any person is killed within this room, they will be transported to the lobby immediately with all of their life-threatening injuries magically treated, and they will lose their remaining time.
Besides these two halls, there is a third area, directly above the lobby. It is not accessible by normal means, but anyone who arranges a meeting with Baldr will be taken there. It is basically a large board room, with refreshments off to one side. Baldr himself will be available here, should anyone wish to talk to him.
Unless otherwise stated in the descriptions of the two halls, all of the rules of Vegas still apply within the MGM. Visiting any realm is merely an illusion, so it is still considered to be within the confines of Vegas. This service cannot serve as a means for a canon update, since the characters are not actually going home.
